One man’s junk

One of the things that I like about Paris is the randomness of you can just walk into. For instance, we wandered into a brocante, or rummage sale, in our neighborhood this week. There were literally dozens of tents along the street of the 5th near Metro Censier-Daubenton. Lots of silver, linen, books, carpets, furniture and mounds of knickknacks. In the end, we bought only a book for a friend because, let’s face it, we have our American pesos and can’t afford to buy anything in euros anymore. (It’s now equal to what the British pound was a couple years ago.) But I took photos of a couple of things that caught my eye, notably the enormous goddess and the creepy box of clowny puppets.
