When to pair cabernet franc with Doritos

The front page on of my morning paper reported that local drug officials have been busting Yakima Valley vineyards. Why? There’s pot under them vines.

According to The Seattle Times, vineyard busts “have exploded in the past few weeks. Since July 8, cops have pulled up 165,670 pot plants, most of them from 13 vineyard busts. Ten thousand were pulled from a cornfield, another 10,000 from an apple orchard and 134 from an asparagus field.” The marijuana plants turn out to be a much more valuable crop than the concord grapes.
